@5:25 -best to keep that slic pin pointed the other direction, (out, away from the tree), so it can't be pushed out under load.

The harder part is having to continue to attach and detach the foot ascender while in the canopy. I haven't quite mastered that. Much easier to attach the foot ascender when I am on the ground vs in the tree.

Why would you use this over a locking steel O? Makes no sense.
