Nothing wrong with living with your parents as long as you pull your weight and are not a burden to them. Be a blessing not a turd. 😐

I am 59 years old and disabled and I take care of my 93-year-old mother. It’s a promise I made to my father before he passed so anybody that looks bad at that or they could kiss my ass.

My mom bought a house and we share it with her. We pay her rent every month that more than covers all her household bills and we fill the fridge every week and I cook and clean this house and never expect her to lift a finger because my mom and husband work full time and I’m home with the kids. THAT’S when its okay to live at home because we pull our weight and make her life easier because she’s doing us a huge favor, making it possible for us to save for our own home. And I’ll do the same for my kids one day if need be. This guy…he’s just a loser.

Told my mom two years that I was gonna move out when I turn 18. I turn 19 tomorrow. Can’t find a job so I do odd jobs (which I don’t make a lot of money). But, I always give her money for rent. Where I am in the states, I have to make x3 the rent. So, my mom is happy that I decided to stay with her to help out around the house.

The dream is over for youth, buying a house and having a Morgage payment over $2000 is wild

There's multiple statistics out there, just pivk one of the many, that do state that in the last like half or more ago decade, the highest number of Millennials in History has had to either stay with their parent's place or move back to their parent's place, because of how Society is.

We are the highest taxed in the history of the country in the present time. Inflation is at its highest in US History. Cost of Living has skyrocketed exponentially, as has School Costs and also more jobs than ever before in the past is now currently the most demanding for like, "do you have certificates or experience" nowadays.

It's not a matter of whether or not this young person is a man or not. He probably feels like he has no choice but to live at home, otherwise they'll be homeless.

Not everyone has the privilege of a college degree fund or well off family, or even a basic family but it's stable.

Things are a lot different, and Steve didn't grow up in the 2010s into 2020s. Steve grew up in the 70s and 80s where things were very different and it was a lot easier for a young person to get out there. Gone are the days where 40 hours a week gives you all your bills paid and food/clothes costs paid, with savings, and the ability to take a vacation or two.

It's a real problem in Society nowadays, the costs and demands and wages not keeping pace. And a lot of people do not pay enough mind to these issues. It goes beyond just the person themselves in most cases.

It’s one thing if he had no where to go and wanted to help himself but it’s another when he’s taking advantage of his own parents

We’re coming to a point in society where only doctors, lawyers can afford to “own” their own home

32 is nothing! My 45 year old still lives home. This economy doest allow our younger generations the ability to earn a real living wage in today's economy. Rent is too high, home purchase is impossible & wages are deplorable. Even with a two in one family, it's near impossible. We are back in the w9' & 39's where many family units stay a very long g time in their single home or apartment ts together.
Dr. Phil is off base here. This man also sounds like he may be special needs.

It's a very american thing to expect your kids to turn 18 and leave the house.

Most other places in the world it's considered perfectly normal to live with your parents as long as you want. Even moving your wife or husband in with you and starting a family in that house.

I love how there’s people on the chat living with their rents and they justify it and they’re like but this guys a loser

His parents Ruined him and they continued ruining him. They asked when he was moving out versus telling him to leave😅 If you give somebody a choice who's lazy, they're gonna choose the easy choice, which is to.Night do the work. Sad

I hate living with my family and I make okay money but damn this world its like u can not afford shit like living on your own. Trust me if I could I would in fact I'm 37 years young single no kids and have been the last two years where I am trying to work side jobs and second jobs to save to fix my credit from student loans that took 15 years to get forgiven from a school that was a fraud and closed but I am just trying to do for me and move on up in the world but the world sure doesn't make it easy.

Steve thinks kids at 16 thru 18 years old should have moved out by now and working but does he realize the economy sucks when it comes to working three or 4 jobs just to get by with the rents alone?? Good luck if you have a college degree, that still won't help in finding jobs, he sounds like one one of these parents that will kick their kids out on their 18 birthday, weather they have a diploma or not, jobs or not.

I don't understand how any adult wants to be with their parents at such an old age!
