But I just wish this video compared apples-to-apples when comparing salaries. When somebody mentions a salary in California is very high, that doesn’t take into comparison but that doesn’t take into account the cost of living.

I disagree with the "opportunities in nursing". I have been an RN for 15 years, and once you are in a specialty or even med surg it's almost impossible to get into a new area, because all the hospitals want someone with experience in that area already, it's very frustrating! I want a NICU position and have been applying for many years, and that's to any maternal child health job, and maybe two interviews and always "we need a nurse with experience in this area". When I apply for jobs I get "oh, we need a nurse with experience in BUT would you be interested in the ER. did I apply to the ER? So frustrating!
