Hi Kayla! - I refused to be weighed for years! (When forced to, I insisted not to be told my weight 😢.) Now, I weigh daily and love the control I feel from gathering that data🥰. Today’s data shows that I’ve reached a new ‘lowest weight’ of 155lbs and have only 20lbs to lose to achieve my goal weight of 135bs & ‘Healthy’ BMI of 23. THANK YOU so much for your encouragement and guidance. ❤❤❤

YOU, Kayla, are the one person who changed this thought for me. I rarely weighed, (scale phobia) and I am coming up on one year of daily weighing. I have had ups and downs with my weight, since starting my maintenance on March 1 2024 (for the hundredth time) ....but the scale has kept me accountable. I never thought I could do it. For me, this has been life changing at 60!! Thank you! This is one healthy habit I can do and will do forever.

I just started OMAD, to make it a bit easier during the rest of the day I eat 4 or 5 boiled eggs. I also take the eggs because I take various medications that I have to take with some food. The first 5 pounds have already come off. 🎉🎉

Ooh the ultimate accountability is the Bluetooth scale 😅 I’ve forced myself to get on it daily for the past year, and it really helps keep me on track. That along with monthly measurements.

It kills me because when I go to the doctor it is always higher and I get the "sure it was lower at home look" from the nurse. I can eat heavy, I can fast fast like crazy but I stay within 5 pounds and can not lose anything sustainable.

I used to weigh myself daily but got so discouraged by the ups and downs and more ups that I decided to limit my weighing to once a month. Has worked much better for me to see actual change over time. A woman's weight can fluctuate 3-5 lbs depending on how much you did or didn't drink, eat or exercise. I think each person has to find what works for her/him by trying different ways for a sustained time and experimenting.

I've been weighing myself every day consistently for years, and I have logs of my weight since late 2018 (before that, I had an old app which didn't sync with Apple Health, so eventually I lost everything). I love having the data. I know how our mind can trick us into remembering things wrong. So I'm all in for having facts.
I also keep a food diary from time to time, especially when I'm in an active weight loss phase. It helps because before, when things got rough, I couldn't figure out why it was not working anymore. I ate like this and lost weight, why am I gaining now? When I have data, I can see that no, I didn't eat like this, some snacks and mindless eating has crept in. The facts help me get back on track.

I cant weigh myself daily because it makes me discouraged. Once a week is enough. So I totally disagree

I know you sent me this information before but all that information is deleted. 😓 ( Sadly, YT has cancelled my WLJ channel 😢. They said I violated community policy, without saying what or how I did!?😮 I’ve no idea, somewhat disheartened but plan to continue documenting on IG and maybe TikTok.) I am one who will no longer weigh myself. I even refuse to be weighed when I go to the doctor for my yearly checkup. I feel horrible when I see what my weight is. I am now on an "unknown" and probably untested program I devised myself. I have shared it on comments boards but have gotten zero feedback. I take that to be disinterest or disbelief, so I hesitate to keep talking about it. But I digress. Back to the issue of the scale. I wish they made one that would register your weight without displaying it. After that, each time you get on the scale, it will make one of two sounds. There will be a loud bell if you have lost any weight from your last weigh in, or it will give you a buzzer if you have gained any. There would be a switch you could flip to display your weight if you want. I would buy that scale.

I have been good about weighing each day but it’s not been easy the past couple of months. I think it may be broken as it’s reported the same weight for ten weeks!

I weigh myself everyday or other day either way I do it because if I don’t I will eat whatever I want and the weight will creep up and up if I see my weight move up quickly I can adjust my eating and my exercise activities accordingly

So much advice is NOT to weigh every day, due to the other factors like water that make a difference. Personally I find it useful to weigh every day to “keep an eye on things”, but only record every week. Good to see alternative views like this.

Weighing yourself every time is such a bad idea. It makes you hyperfocus on your ups and down. You need to remember that weight loss is not linear and you dont really miss out a lot by weighing yourself (only) once a week
