What’s the whole story? Are you writing stories about your future that are filled with fear rather than faith?

Watch out for the story you tell yourself. We are all guilty of telling ourselves horror stories and making up what-if scenarios. Many of us could give Stephen King a run for his money with the scripts we write in our heads. But here’s a helpful insight, I choose the story I tell myself. And when I constantly take in information from media sources that inspire fear and anxiety, I am much more likely to tell myself that scary story. This is a big reason why we should check the news, not watch it. We should check social media, we shouldn’t live on it.

everyone should think this way: maybe the reason you got a flat tire was to keep you from getting into an accident. i try to use this in my life, whenever something goes wrong or unexpectedly, i think about why. i think about how maybe something great wouldn’t happen unless something bad happened first. Oh Jesus! since this COVID situation, what with no face to face church services, I’ve been listening to whatever sermons I can get my hands on finding time in between work and family and all sermon brought me to tears, thank you Pastor Stephen the way your preach The Word it really gets to me, it is helping me so so so much on this journey getting to know God and His word in a way I never could thus far, 4 yrs since I was saved ....so much more and more and more and thanking God every day, no matter what !
