I liked the movie, and even though the ending scene didn’t make sense to me at first, I realized afterward what it was about. The movie would have been better without the musical parts, just having everything in Arthur Fleck’s head, with his quiet dances, was perfect. Everyone wanted to be the Joker, but the Joker didn’t want to be anyone. He needed someone who was mentally broken enough to be fearless and take his place, and in the end, Arthur proved he wasn’t fit to be replaced by Joker. To go against society and give it what it f*king deserves, you have to fully embrace Joker.
