Bullshit Joker isn’t a stolen identity his an idea not some mask anyone can just claim. Joker 2 was bullshit, ending could have been Arthur hallucinates his joker Alter ego kills him representing the Joker has finally fully taken over of Arthur’s mind.

Let’s pretend this movie never happened. Worst ending ever.

I have a few honest question as i saw it just now and couldnt fully understand the ending:
i) how can u assume that he died n it wasnt just one of his delusions
ii) where was it mentioned that the person who stabbed him reveals himself as the true joker, he just carved a smile with a knife, any idiot in an asylum would do that who aspired to be joker, the whole town aspires to be him

Dude, are you realizing now he is not joker?
1. He met bruce wayne and alfred when bruce was 8 years old. By the time he is batman, joker would be too old.
2. Joker doesnt have an identity. But here, batman could learn about him by just watching 20 year old news about the killings. He even introduces him as joker.
Also wouldnt alfred remember the encounter in the entrance and tell bruce as batman? The same night they killed his parents?
If you thought he was joker... damn

Why is everyone jumping on the, "It's Heath Ledger's Joker!" bandwagon? Just because the inmate in the end cuts a glasgow smile into his face does not mean it is Heath Ledger's Joker, besides both this film and The Dark Knight are different universes.

The director said along time ago that this joker might of just been the guy that inspired the real joker

Honestly, the only good thing about this movie is the signature dance

A sequel to this with the new joker breaking out harley tries take control of him instantly shuts her down like joker would or maybe even twist her to his liking fully and him becoming the real joker after killing his in a way mentor

They should have had the second movie Start with him in the arkum asylum doing his duties which is cleaning and when he mops the floors he tells jokes to the other inmates locked up, the guards let this happen because it's a torcher for the crooks.
( So the first 1/4 of the movie U get all the dialogue between the different bad guys and you see how the process of the prison affects fleck and maybe he starts feeling more safe being with the other broken people.)

I was going to add the batman throwing people in the prison but he's still a kid so I'd probably have the story continue with the joker befriending and backstabbing gangs of the prison or just the alpha's of the prison because he's like a rock star atm and then Jim gets called in to find out the plot of the joker but it's not the joker just someone that's more intelligent using him to move around the prison and get things and find a way out of the riddle

Smh. 🤦 Bro…that ONLY the literal take away. The movie is really symbolic in nature. It’s not someone else that kills him. That was his psychotic self “killing” the last of his humanity represented by “the silly clown from tv, ” Arthur Fleck. He wasn’t some random crazy guy who killed him and took over his identity.
Harley didn’t want Arthur. She wanted the Joker. That why it flashed back to his dream of her shooting him during a performance together. She fired the first shot to the gut. It was happening because she didn’t want him. And that is why they talked about the split of his character the entire movie. Because he was 2 people. There was him and his shadow self.

More in reply…

Hes taken out by someone trying to be a better version, which is scummy and also a joker thing to do, hes stolen an identity and runs with it to take over the ciry

We knew that since the first one. It was legit revealed since before the first one came out that Arthur was not the legit Joker.

It was a nice idea but just not what fans wanted i do appreciate when writers and directors try something new but like a wise man once said “what works just works and what doesn’t well doesn’t “
