Because the official website seems to be down I found a GitHub mirror of the MSMG Toolkit. I haven't used it, so use at your own risk.

Hope this helps people out.

I've been working on computers for 25+ years. I just wanted to say thanks for teaching this Old Dog a new trick. I had no idea this tool existed! I've been using the MSDN dev kit FOREVER and even after using it over and over through the years, it's still such a cumbersome process. FYI: This works with Win 11 ISOs created from UUP Dump, also. The menus change a bit, but it's easy enough to get through with the walk through that you have given.

NOTE - placing the Toolkit within a folder that had a space in it's name caused the tool to crash when attempting to extract from the ESD. Found a reference to the creator asking someone if they were running from within a folder with a space in the name. Took out the space in mine turnging "MSMG Toolkit" to "MSMG" and no further issues.

Update: I've recently been made aware in the comments that this tool is charging $90 a year to download the packs. Whatever you guys do don't pay that. It's completely outrageous and not worth it. The packs are not necessary to follow the guide. They are completely optional.

One note about the tutorial.
When you uncheck all in "System Apps" it also unchecks Security Center under "System" because of dependency on Windows Defender. When you turn on Windows Defender again it does not automatically re-check Security Center- you have to go back to "System" and turn it on manually.

Wow, this was a really in depth tutorial. No click bait here, you really did what you promised. Impressed with your devotion and detailing.. Subscribed because you earned it :o)

I'm using a different version (v13.0), to shake some time off trim down the windows versions when you apply your changes, instead of applying your changes to all your windows versions, just select 'No' and apply only to your "Pro" version, over here doing exactly what you did, it took only 5 minutes to apply everything (AMD FX(tm)-8350, 16 GiB memory DDR3 and regular SATA mechanical HDD). As for ISO, it only took less than 2 minutes.
Thank you for the video/tutorial.

Thanks for the video. Helped me alot.

I encountered one issue during removal process. The script showed an error that the lenght of the file name was exceeding 260 letter.
So I unzipped the toolkit folder to the main directory and started over. Then it worked.

So, i downloaded the same version of msmg toolkit from the video in the alternative site and had no problem using it with a notebook. One thing i did is to not disable wifi services but with the rest i did the very same thing. Windows goes pretty smooth now, thank you very much sir and looking foward to the update since the toolkit is now on the 12.5 version and is pretty different from before.

I am primarily a Linux user, but I do have need to install Windows for others and on at least one machine of my own. That said, the biggest frustration are the new builds, and to have to redo this every time is an uphill battle. No one wants to have to reinstall regularly unless there would be some way to just update to your newly may stripped down version, even that's a hassle. But, I suppose if you must have Windows, then you have to decide to what length do you want to have control and how willing you are to strip it.

The other option is to create a stripped out version and simply run it offline as in the old days of no internet if you need to run specific tasks that do not require internet. And, if you do need to go online to retrieve the occasional whatever, you can decide how much risk it would be to achieve your task. Either way, thanks for the great content here!

Excellent very easy to follow instruction. If this guy isn't an instructor, but he sure is qualified to be one. It took me a couple of tries, before I started to get it to work, but it's worth you time to persevere and get through it.

10:36 It's a crime you removed Snipping Tool ! It's a vital tool if you're a student or you're making memes! Nice video btw, very useful!

One Important thing to note. If your Toolkit folder is within other folders with spaces in their names, MSMG will crash.

I think I was doing it wrong for years and suffering the removal of all the bloatware afterwards... You're great man, thanks. Love from Turkey

Be advised, there's a newer version of MSMG toolkit (12.2) which has different options than the one used in this video. If you're not sure whether or not to remove something I suggest keeping it. I realized this is a bit too spooky for me to mess with so I quit out. I'll just stick to the tried, and true methods of uninstalling after the OS is installed. The last thing you want is a borked Windows install on a new drive/machine. If you're like me, and not very smart, there's tons of options for removing bloatware and MS spying apps. CyberCPU did a very good job detailing all steps involved with this, but I honestly don't trust myself enough to attempt this, lol.
