It should be noted: Those gaming results aren't typical. There can be several contributing factors to those results:
1. Toms Hardware was using a less optimized and earlier version of Cyberpunk (before the benchmark was added)
2. There is a CP2077 LTT discovered where it did NOT apply the graphic setting presets, even through it said it did.
A debloat will net between 5-10% performance uplift, UNLESS your CPU is the bottleneck leading to lower performance, which those numbers can get higher.

There is a bug with CP2077 where the graphics settings are not applied correctly, unless you put each setting manually, otherwise it will default to a lower preset, that happened to Linus Tech tips in their 4090 review

I was waiting for this for so long, just got interested when you showed 40 processes in another vid of yours

There is a huge flaw in your performance analysis against Tom's Hardware's numbers. The Tom's Hardware numbers are from Cyberpunk 2077's launch version (1.03) which came out back in December 10, 2020. Cyberpunk 2077 has seen a lot of bug fixes and performance optimizations since.

Also, one other thing to note is that Cyberpunk 2077's launch version didn't have an in-game benchmark, this was added with the Patch 1.50 earlier this year, in February. Tom's Hardware might've used a different location which is likely more demanding than the benchmark scene CDPR has chosen. That too is another thing to consider.

Edit: Looks like I was absolutely spot on about their choice of test location, to quote the Tom's Hardware article:

Our test is simple: We start near the entrance to V's apartment complex, down on the ground floor. Then we walk down the stairs, cross the street to the left, cross the next street to the right, and head off toward Tom's Diner. Turn left in front of the diner, across another street and up the stairs, and past the two cops talking to some irritated civilians. "But when the Tygers come around, you ain't nowhere to be found!" (I may have walked this path too many times.)

Furthermore, AMD"s drivers have matured, and if you use features like Resizable Bar, you can get even more performance out of the RX 5700 XT, especially when you're in CPU limited scenarios.

The best way for you to gauge the improvements is to actually compare it against an absolute stock Windows 10 ISO, run the games and compare its numbers against the stripped-down Windows 10 installation you've created. That's the only way for the benchmark numbers to be meaningful.

Love the work you're doing, looking forward to seeing where this all ends up.

Love it. Huge fan of stripping out the bloat and harkening back to the days where a process list was more manageable.

Really wish u have said what is removed and what functions we are losing with it.

something is seriously wrong with these abnormally high results. in my testing, debloating windows does not result with more than %3-%5 performance uplift. maybe its a bug in the game and the settings are not really set to ultra.

This is a life saver for computer that are usable and not old enought to be discarted! Thank you very much for all the work! you just save me two computers to use for my family.

It should be noted, bold and underlined in flashing letters, that debloating windows usually affects its stability and future compatibility with updates. Windows is NOT modular. You cannot forcefully remove something from the OS and expect it to keep working perfectly forever. Only do this if you are not afraid of having ocasional bluescreens, app crashes, missing things, failed windows updates and etc. While this can be useful, do this at your own risk. Don't call Windows "unstable" if you try to always debloat it to the max.
Still, great video for those who really want it (and understand the risks)!

Can't wait for more in depth tutorials on how to game on virtualized windows!

I forget which, but some popular fps game anticheat required windows smart screen to work. Anticheats are always the biggest problem for me when cleaning up windows.

This works wonders for my system. I tried it on already installed and bloated Windows, and it didn't work as I thought, so I reinstalled and then ran the utility, and my CPU went berserk with gaming and benchmark performance. I have a nearly 7% increase in overall performance and I have all the software that I have installed previously as of now. Thank you so much for the magic trick. I really owe you.

Thank you Chris. I have two tuxedo laptops one has to run Windos. Your tool and vids are helpful in keeping my system clean I’m not a windows guy so I’m very happy with your help. Greetings from the Netherlands

Great video as always... Think this process should be good to do at anytime, as you are stripping out the what can be removed without compromising the system. Also people can use this as a reference point to check off whats necessary and the unnecessary processes that are installed with some programs.

I love these debloats, but I wish there was one tailored to Gamepass Ultimate gamers who need the dependencies for it. Or at least notes about what we would need to keep that Chris throws out.

I highly recommend trimming down windows. By and large it won't significantly impact your FPS, but it will noticeably improve smoothness. NTLite is a great tool allowing you to strip out core subsystems like windows update and services which the system doesn't allow you do stop. The result is a system that is fast and frozen in time.

have to agree, winxp and 2000 were the best highest performing OS. win 7 wasn't bad either

aGAIN & Again great work, we highly appreciate it, and applying it to our computers...
Can't wait until neXt Wednesday :)

I enjoy these debloat videos. I mainly run flight sims in VR, so extra processes in the background can make a difference. Tuning your rig is the best way to get the best performance and still have great immersion.

Love these latest videos about taking the useless junk that comes with a standard windows install, purchased NTlite following your video and would love to see a video on how to make some good pre-sets to use . Also love your Linux videos.
