after install.wim capture process completes you do not have to reinstall windows to take out the file, you can easily start network services from within the loaded hirensbootcd session and copy install.win to a real machine through network, also it is not good idea to install virtual box drivers (or vmware tools in the vm in case of Vmware workstation) thus you will have to uninstall it every time you deploy the new image to a real computer. 1) Are there any licensing issues regarding MS allowing the installation of Windows on different hardware? For example, Acronis True Image has a 'universal install' option to allow for this to happen.
2) What advantage does this involved procedure have over just cloning Win10 (or 11)?

Question : if we installed OS using the modified Image and success (all preinstalled apps are there). Later if we do "Reset Windows" and choose "Remove Everything", are those preinstalled apps still there, or gone ?

i got a problem after replace install.esd with install.wim and create boot from .iso file. i got error "windows could not display the images avaiable for installation" when select image for windows installation.

when I use the custom iso, will it ask me to create a new user? or will it skip the user creation screen?
