The Heartbreaking Way This Dog Is Grieving His Owner's Death

This dog hasn't been himself after his best friend and owner, 21-year-old Abraham Martinez, was killed in a car accident. Abraham's sister says the German Shepherd has been moping around the house and lost his appetite ever since. When their family saw Jax depressed in front of Abraham's memorial, it made them realize they aren't the only ones heartbroken. #InsideEdition

When my great aunt died, her dog was allowed at the funeral because they were so close as He was her service dog. He laid right in front of her casket the entire time. Any time her name was mentioned he'd give a little wine. During the moment of silence he let out the saddest sound I've ever heard from an animal. And when her daughter picked up his leash at the end to lead him away, he flipped out, slipped out of his collar and ran back to the casket. Mind you, this was a service dog, a highly trained one, he would have never done such a thing before in his life. He had to be carried out (huge yellow lab too!). This was several years ago and he's much better now. After a few month of grieving he started to turn around and got his personality back. He's a happy go lucky dog again!

I remember when my grandma died, my dog was crying daily whenever she was on the first floor of our house where we all lived. I remember she was always sitting on her bed, crying, making sad noises and always feeling depressed for a whole month. I also really felt the same as her and sometime cried with her. Unfortunately now 7 years after that happened, my dog is dying from a tumor in her lungs and on the weekend as I’m posting this she is getting unalived at the vet. She was always my childhood pet, and now since she is dying in 2 days as of me posting this, makes me feel very depressed like she did years ago.

I often wonder if its worth creating a bond with your dog like sleeping together, lets flip the situation his dog died and he is absolutely heartbroken its hard for him to move on more than if he didn't treat his dog like a human. RIP Abraham and Jax.
