cars are safer, have storage, carry multiple people easily, shield from weather, don't require a specific outfit to use and can act as a home in a pinch

It’s wayyyy easier to die or get permanently injured on a bike and not even necessarily from your own lack of skill but more so because of other idiot drivers. Cars are way more relaxing to rip around back roads on and much less to worry about. A little gravel can end your life on a bike gotta always be 110% on defense

Not one lie but it’s like comparing apple to oranges a car can’t replace a bike and a bike can’t replace a car I own a m109r it’s a boat load of fun but sometimes it’s nice to dumb the clutch around a corner and make the tires cry too if you’re blessed to have both it’s a win win

i think i spent 4k$ Canadian on my 2001 Hayabusa. I'd like to drop 5 grand on a billet aluminum engine, forged crank and pistons, h beam rods, and an ecu. but like 💀 I'm broke af. i smoked a hellcat and a zl1 in a storm though. was like 1inch of water on the road and my rear tire was hydroplaning most the way. winds were blowing me around the highway, but i held my own on these two that were racing.

But then again, you're screwed on a bike as a daily commuter if you live ANYWHERE that has snow. Also, are you talking specifically about straight line stuff? Because that's just boring. Anything can go fast in one direction, so bikes absolutely have an advantage there...unless something gets under the wheels...or you find a pothole...or get swiped...or someone doesn't see you...or you just get unlucky. At least the car has a cage around you and seatbelts to keep you from becoming the worlds fastest Superman reboot.

There are a lot of great things about bikes, but there are also a tremendous amount of downsides. And this is coming from a guy that EXCLUSIVELY owned and rode a bike for several years straight. I still want to get another bike, absolutely. But to think that they're a full-time substitute for a car when you've got things like groceries, kids, or a 25+ mile daily commute through some bad areas is just silly. Sure, you can go a lot faster and get a far better fuel economy, but there are glaring problems for about 80% of people in the States...

True my friend. However, when I do long travels I ride in a car. It's pretty comfy and I won't get stressed out when it rains.

True it's cheaper when you're travelling alone but it would be very unchivalrious if you have a girlfriend/wife in mind.

For the UK 600cc is the best, you can get a decent one with low miles for around £1000 and still beat 89% of cars and 100% of the police lol
