1 Dollar Fried Rice | But Cheaper

Homemade fried rice is one of those cheap staples that every household in the world should know. It's fast, easy to make, relatively healthy, and well... it's rice and everyone loves rice come on now.

I think you guys are ignoring the fact that I condemned every other method of cooking rice that ISN'T in my Zojirushi rice cooker. But because this is but cheaper I gave other options because you ALWAYS complain about expensive equipment. I'm super new to this channel, but right off the bat I love the "here's the cost if you have the stuff, here's the cost if you don't." That's a huge differentiator!

I made this tonight (first time). It was really easy to make, and seems to be a good base recipe you can play around with. It was too sweet for me, so, next time, I'll take away a 1/2 tbsp of sugar, and add some sriracha sauce. I'm really surprised how straight forward this is to make. I would say even a 12 year old (who has a little experience cutting vegetables/cooking with a pan) could make this.

Edit: I made it again tonight. I forgot to reduce the sugar, but I did add an extra 2 inches of ginger, some squirts of sriracha sauce, and only used three cups of leftover, cooked rice. I also added some powdered garlic instead of grating it fresh. It came out better than restaurant-quality! I think fresh garlic would've been better, for obvious reasons, but tonight's was really good regardless.
