One of my nieces had this happen to her Husband unnecessarily died because he became obese to the point of immobility she would bring him smaller healthy & balanced meals he would protest, throw it at her then call his mother who would then bring over mass quantities of whatever he wanted. It was so sad before he died my niece left him because she didn’t want to watch it happen. Then her toxic MIL had the nerve to say “ he died of a broken heart” I was so angry about that! How dare she deflect the blame like that?

Thing is, it's not only physical! Emotional eating is a BIG issue and that needs to be addressed as well.

So when his mom saw him reach 350. She continued her behavior. He then would reach 450, then 550. Still she thought it would be ok to enable him all the way to 650 and finally 750. What kind of mother does that to their own kid?

I really hope he made it. Seeing people with food addiction is so hard, and there's a really low long term success rate too. He's so young and seems to be a sweet guy.

There’s no such thing as “letting” a full grown adult get to 600 lbs. That adult let them self get to 600 lbs.

She didn't put a gun to his head. To a certain degree he has to be held accountable for his own actions instead of seeing folks calling his mother the problem.

A lot of respect for the mother acknowledging her role in enabling him. So many mothers on this show refuse to admit they've done anything wrong, and refuse to stop. It takes a lot of character to have insight and make the change.

“Try” is an issue here. They will TRY to stop enabling him. They can’t control him but they have full control over themselves.
