Changing Toilet Fill Valve - Fluidmaster PerforMax Fill Valve

I go over the steps for changing a toilet fill valve. I am using the Fluidmaster PerforMax. It allows you to adjust the water in the toilet tank and the water in the toilet bowl for the best flushing power. If you have a high efficiency toilet, you need to have enough water in the toilet bowl, or you won't get a good flush.

Great explanation. I have not used a Fluidmaster, and it seems there are far too many versions of toilet valves out there. Good to know the ins an outs of this particular version, with the water level
adjustments that are built into this one.

My fill tube has a notch that accommodates that overfill/flush tube so I won't need the clip. Thanks for the demo though, I had this clip and was wondering if I really needed it and it would appear I don't.

Measure the height of the overflow pipe so that the CL is set correctly?

@ 5:00 Does the nut and connector on the line have to make contact after you've tightened both up or is it okay to have some thread between them if you've tightened them both as much as possible?

My Question is, " I have a Kohler Flush Valve and it fills very slowly and I don't know if its adjustable.
I've always used the Fluidmasters 400As.
Is the Kohler better than the Fluidmasters??
