You forgot that in ocean monuments, the guardians are really nice and their beams heal you! The Elder Guardian also gives you a spoon effect so you won’t go hungry!

actual helpful tip: contrary to popular belief, you don’t need to craft an iron pickaxe to mine diamonds. you can do the same with a regular stone one, saving you lots of time and coal to smelt the iron
