I haven’t watched your channel in over 1 1/2+ years (moved overseas/baby). I am gobsmacked looking through your videos there have been THIS many more missing people since I last It’s so shocking it happens this often and there are no warnings about national parks constantly on the news. Thanks for your commitment to continue telling these stories. Glad to see your subs up. You look great!🙏🏾

David I wondered when you would get to Bis Sur. I am a former Monterey County Deputy and Patroled the Big Sur Area one day out of five with a partner. As you can imagine we ran into some really weird folks. We mostly discovered throw backs from the 1960 hippy aera living in painted school buses guess what colors. We had been advised that the Pope John Paul was coming to visit Carmel Mission and maybe deduced on weather to canonize Father Junipero Serria to Saint status. I tell this because I owned a Bell BIII turbine helicopter which the Sheriff “Bud Cook” asked me to set up and run an air support division attached to Patrol and have it done for the Popess visit. I know I am walking all the way around the barn to get to the door! However the Pope came and all went well. The Sheriff then got to the County fathers to put up the funds to continue Air OPERATIONS and was successful. I then started training with out SERT team which was short lived as we had several missing people in and around Big Sur. I would fly a team into a remote area sometimes able to put only one skid on the side of cliff to extract the teams. During the next year I made approximately 20 such drop ops in the Las Padres National Forest, Ventana, Big Sur and down to the San Simeon area which at that time still belonged to the Hearst family. David we had many people missing that we never found including suscides, people driving off PCH some of which are 2, 000 ft to the Ocean. Some times they were not even reported like whole families found by me while patrolling at lower altitude just above the Ocean still in their autos. Getting the Team into those areas was a real trick. Anyway there were quite a few missing people inside this area, some found alive mostly found in parts. Although we proved the value of air support the county fathers would not support further operations?
You know the rest. Keep up the good work brother, hope to meet you some day. I still live in Monterey County. My Warmest Regards Deputy Steven McKim

The last black person that you mentioned missing was the black man that was a bird watcher. Thanks for mentioning missing black people, sir. We love 411 missing series and all the safety tips you give to the public.

Big Sur and Ventana are extremely beautiful. I feel very fortunate to have spent time there. It’s magical. We saw a pod of orcas when we were gazing over the ocean.

Born and raised here in San Jose. Lived all my life here and raised a family. In your past stomping grounds. So much has changed. So much memories of going to Santa Cruz and visiting Monterey. We miss you here Dave, but you’re better off where you’re living now. California is not what it was and the Santa Clara county has changed too. Live Long and Prosper Dave. 🖖🏻🙏🏼

I also grew up in San Jose CA. Graduated from Yerba Buena high school. I do believe in dreams. In grade school, I had to do a book report on the state of Colorado. I used dreams about a lot mountains, when I got married my husband and I ended up living in Colorado my kids are born and grand babies. Two years ago we went back to visit because my son wanted to go see the ocean. A lot has changed in CA so sad that more people are homeless. An overall decline in society.

Hey Dave, i’ve an older brother by 4 yrs (he’s 55 now) & he use to be a hell of a rock climber (we use to go out trips & i’d be the ba-layer @ the bottom for him to climb up the routes that already existed on the face of the mt) we went to the Red Rocks in North Vegas, Oakwood flats in AZ, Donner summit by Truckee & Dewallamey meadows by Yosemite CA! Well after he started getting older he’d just go on hiking trails cuz his hands started to get arthritic & his hands would swell up so he loved the outdoors & now he just hikes! He has been all over the west coast hiking from Wyoming, Utah, AZ, Nevada & CA! He has been stuck in Mt. Whitney in a very bad storm that came through & luckily they came across a cave that his buddy & my bro Rob stayed in for 48 hours & hugged each other to stay warm but they both got a little bit frost bitten on the toes but thankfully only lost a few toe nails after all getting back home & going to the hospital in Reno! Anyways, i keep telling him about these stories from your 411 connection & i sent him Steve’s info from his website cuz he didnt believe me about the stories that have been sent in on whats been happening to some people out there when they go camping or hiking! He doesnt seem to be worried cuz he hasn’t had any problems @ all in his 30 years of hiking out in the bush! I told him to get a beacon & a satelite phone & he said he’d but never has! It just worry’s our whole family cuz he goes out on these 4-7 long days of hiking by himself! I pray to god that nothing will happen to him!!! He has a huge family here in AZ that loves him dearly & he wont ever stop! Hopefully after he watches the 411 show on Netflix that he doesn’t go out alone anymore & always has a partner with him!!! Thank You Mr. P for all you do, the time & support you give these family’s is unbelievable & hopefully you’ll open a door to the public that’ll give us an eagles eye on whats really going on, which i’ve my own theory after looking into many cases myself & doing alot of homework! There’s alot that’s being hidden from the public (i think anyways) and i dont ever think the Gov. will come out & tell the story cuz it’d cause so much caos! 🙏🙏🙏

Dear David,
Can't wait for this show !! Far and away, the most fascinating and intriguing podcast on the internet. My California Childhood: growing up in Oakland. Moving there from a slum in Yugoslavia (Croatia)...it seemed like Beverly Hills. Spyder bikes, the Oakland A's & Vida Blue, the Raiders, a new BART station down the street, soul food. We were in awe. Glad that Oakland was my intro to the USA. (Imagine our shock at being an easy drive to the ocean)

Hey Dave! Hey tribe!
Great video as always, but it never ceases to amaze me that you can come up with new cases as often as you do and there's never an end to how many cases you can talk about, it is so sad that these incredible people just up and go missing...
I kind of miss you reading the letters, but what I was thinking was wouldn't it be really cool, Dave if you read letters that were very relative to the subject that you're going to be discussing, I can that remember recently one video where you got a email from somebody who had an experienced at Big Sur and then you covered a disappearance that occurred there. That was intriguing as hell and it was very well done package to say the least. Keep up the great work Dave - we love you and we love what you do, I definitely think twice about hiking out here in Wyoming alone like I've done for almost 15 of the 20 years I've been out here.
