So sad, I found an article about this on "Northfield News" and it states: "After a short time on the water, her family noticed her get up from her chair after looking over her right shoulder into the foliage, but she sat back down after a few seconds of peering curiously in that direction.Only a couple minutes later, she turned her head to the same place and decided to get up and explore whatever she saw or heard. When her family saw her leave, they immediately turned the boat around and returned to the dock within five minutes of her vanishing."
It also said "Her disappearance came as a complete shock to her family, because this intelligent young woman is known for being a “human GPS”, able to navigate trails and paths like no other." Very strange and disturbing. I don't leave anyone alone anytime we go outdoors anymore.

I have a son with high functioning autism. He is now 35 yo. I remember once when he was younger and we were leaving the grocery store, I turned around and he wasn't there. My heart froze with fear. I heard him crying and I found him. The relief I felt was almost as overwhelming as the fear I had originally felt. I feel so much for this family. God Bless them and my prayers go out to them.

I have a son with autism. One of his gifts is his ability to observe something others don’t see & strong visual learning. Is it possible she saw something that scared her & she had a fight or flight response? 🤔 Prayers for the family. 🙏🏼 I can’t even imagine their heartache. ❤️‍🩹

I grew up in Northern MN and went fishing multiple times with my grandpa on Leech Lake! To this day I still remember hearing extremely loud “loon calls” when visiting that lake. There are many loons in MN so I know what an actual loon sounds like. These weren’t that!! Very eerie!! Thanks for the video today. Hi Huck!

It was shortly after moving there that some of the locals began telling me of all the UFO sightings and how they would hover right above the water. Back then, I thought those same people had mental issues. Now, having seen 3 of them myself, well, ... something is going on

As a mom with 2 autistic children this is exactly why i dont want to go camping and down the trails in wooded areas. My heart goes out to these people. May they find the missing piece and peace

I had an experience 28 years ago to do with headphones. I was listening to music as I was falling asleep and it changed. The music slowed and a completely different set of lyrics came through the head set. The lyrics were demonic and explicitly told me to kill myself. It woke me up in a palpable fear, my heart racing, and my mind reeling- telling me to sign my heart... I didn't sleep for the rest of the night and turned on all the lights.
Maybe she heard something through her headphones, similar or not, that caused the flight response. I know I wanted to get out of where I was, but for some reason I thought I'd stand my ground.
Not saying this happened to Tanya, just speculating on my behalf.

Dave - as always, thanks so much for covering a Minnesota story. This one has been bothering me a lot. It’s close to my family’s lake house. Also, we have “neighbors, ” there too.
