War may have been won, but that doesn't necessarily mean it is over. War is over only when the enemy surrenders without conditions and with no demands. Only the victor calls the shots to ensure the enemy is defanged; deprived of any capability to attack again.

War is not over, Even when hostages are released Israel has to secure the borders of Rafah and the coast lines, where weapons are smuggled into Gaza. Palestinian leaders must come to the negotiating table with Israel.

I think Israel will still want to have Hamas out of Gaza and handing over of all weapons. But it could be more likely that what is left of Hamas kills the hostages. Hamas expected the IDF to enter Gaza, the attack was done to instigate that. However, they seriously underestimated the IDF determination to obliterate Hamas whatever the cost and Palestinians have paid a high price.

Sinwar will be replaced. Netanyahu will continue to fight Hezbollah and Iran. It has been made clear that Netanyahu doesn't care about the hostages, but only in remaining in power. It is far from over.
