Do not question why the new Honda Hornet is so cheap question but why the competition are so expensive. The British public have been mugged off for far too long. I thank Honda for manufacturing a quality bike at a realistic price.

My mate works at Staffordshire Honda and says they're flying out the doors. There's lots of tech for the money and 90 bhp is enough for most people. Its not in your face looks which I get, they're not aiming it at hardcore riders, just riders. Well done honda, I hope this creates more riders. Great video Dan.

So disappointed that Honda didn't apply their neo retro styling to this bike, it just looks so dull and generic. Fantastic engine, great price, good tech and meh looks

I was thinking of buying a Hornet as my commuter so took one for a demo ride and was really impressed, it's so much more than a commuter, IMO it was like an MT-07 that handles and is laden with electronic goodies, it's not quite up to the Trident's finish but still very good, undoubtedly the bargain of the century.

I went to the local Honda dealership yesterday and they had 2 Hornets, the black and red, and the white and red, and both were marked as sold. When I first saw the pictures online, I thought that it looked horrible but once I saw it live, I thought it really is a fine looking machine actually. Still prefer the CB650R look over iy though, it's what I actually ended up ordering. Thanks for the review Dan! 🖖

Awesome! Unfortunately we don’t have these in Canada and won’t get them for a while. So I just put a deposit on a 23 CB650R. It will be here in 3 weeks can’t wait!

Was really looking forward to your take on this bike, and it didn't disappoint. Fantastic stuff, Dan! :D Hopefully don't have to wait for the follow-up video... ;) It would be cool if you did a comparison with the CB650R (I think a lot of people would like to hear your thoughts on that). Awesome video, cheers! :)

yeah the looks are downer for me as well. I have 2019 cbr 650r and man that machine looks proper aggresive and sexy even at a standstill. But if honda made those same hornet specs onto styling of cbr or cb neo sport cafe styling - man I would buy one right now...

An exciting Honda that’s not a fireblade! About time. Great video I appreciate the effort. I am so tempted to get one of these! Fun and a Honda that fits a smaller guy.. sounds perfect.

Got mine last week in the same colour as the one you’re riding and doesn’t it put a big smile on your face. Personally I love the looks and the frame colour but, I must agree I do find the throttle a bit snatchy at low speed, which you adapt to after a while. Great review Dan.

I’d love to hear more about how this compares, on the road, to the 650 bikes. I was pretty sold on the 650r, but this seems a bit better for the street and normal highway riding. I’m looking forward to the in depth review!

Excellent review. They got everything right but the styling.

This is the first I've even heard of the Hornet and I can't wait to see more of your videos about it!

Can’t make myself like that headlight. Nice vid as always

Small note, it's a single cam engine, not double. Great review though Dan! I liked the concept/production/CB500 comparison graphic too.

I test rode this and it was great fun. It sounds amazing, loads of torque and brilliant in all ways but one - the size. It is made for smaller humans. I’m 5’11, 32 leg and there was no room to move around and it felt like my heels were up by my arse. Gutted I would have bought one otherwise

Great review as always Dan. That bike is bladdy amazing for the price. You get so much for the money. It does look like the CB500F's bigger brother but I can live with that. I still think the CB650R is one of the best looking/sounding bikes. I am not sure what one I would choose as they both ride differently. I am a sucker for a inline 4 though! I am very surprised by that PT engine though. Punchy and it goes :) carnt wait for the next review. Have a good weekend sir.

The engine is a "Unicam" engine, presumably a single overhead cam operating both intake and exhaust valves. Not quite the same as a typical DOHC setup.
I'm really liking this "more than a 650cc, less than a 850cc" class of twins, which also offer "more than a 650" in terms of the bones, with USD forks and radial brakes and a better chassis that can deal with a higher pace. And the prices are spot on.

Really liking the Hornet. Looks so good! Bet it's fun to ride! Will definitely see if I can ride one as well!
