Explaining overpopulation | Sustainability - ACCIONA
Показать описание
A video on the causes and risks of overpopulation in the near future. With an increasing population growth rate, contined migration to urban areas, scarce resources, and already one billion people living in poverty, what will happen in the future? As of now, possible implications include greater problems with sanitation and health, overcrowding, and social inequality. In order to mitigate these risks, cities must work to maintain the advantages that urban areas can provide: good education levels, a low mortality rate, access to drinking water and sanitation, transport, and social services. Additionally, cities must work to strengthen the institutions of culture, tolerance, freedom of expression, and individual rights whie controlling pollution. #Sustainability
