The alternative Mazda cruise control system for the NA and NB MX-5 Miata

Is there a reliable and more cost effective cruise control system for the Mazda MX-5 Miata of the NA and NB generation? The original OEM system is getting old and expensive, but Mazda seems to offer an alternative with the system from the earliest Mazda 6.

The codes that are available during the diagnostics mode that I used in this video are:
21 Set/Coast switch use detected
22 Resume/Accellerate use detected
31 Brake/Stoplight switch use detected
35 Clutch switch use detected
37 Minimum required speed reached

The minumum speed is 25 mph or 40 km/h for the original Miata cruise control system on the NA and NB generation that use vacuum from the engine for the actuator.
The minimum speed is less than 20 mph or 30 km/h for the Mazda 6 cruise control system. It uses a servo motor and does not need vacuum from the engine.

Nice video. I have a 1998 NB 1.6. I have thought about installing cruise control.

This is great! I alreday ordered the mazda 6 cruise control module. As for the control buttons, do they have resistors? Or does the module require just simple 0V/12V states? Thanks
