Butcher here, most butchers I’ve worked with don’t know the difference between horizontal and vertical let alone a term like “boat style” so if you don’t wanna get confused looks from your local billy bob butcher, just say you’d like a femur bone cut long ways. It will save u an odd stare from most of them

Pro tip. Soak it over night in water and a bit of vinegar and salt. Throw away the water, pat dry season with corse salt and fresh cracked pepper. Bake and done
