We have been using our SwitchBot S10 since it shipped with the first batch of KickStarter supporters. The S10 mops our hardwood floors better than our previous Roborock MaxV Ultra and iRobot Braava. However, the mop on the S10 often becomes clogged with dog hair since it is wider than the vacuum brush / port, despite being on the Max vacuum setting. The build-up of hair in the RinseSync tray prevents the roller mop from properly self cleaning and other issues. We have resolved this issue with scheduling the unit to vacuum only the room followed by a vacuum and mop of the room. 🐶🐶

The SwitchBot API is the biggest downfall of the S10, currently sending it to clean will only clean the whole home. I would prefer a similar API to RoboRock which allows full configuration of the vacuum / mop settings and room selection. 🤖

Thanks for the great review! Such a shame about the lack of Home Assistant support. I'd definitely buy one of these but for that. My current Eufy has pretty spotty support and I don't want to downgrade further despite the much better functionality of the actual vacuum.

Great innovation from Switchbot, but the obstacle avoidance and lack of HA integration are issues. Like the curtain bot will wait for Rev. 3 (maybe).

I think the plumbing idea is a bit daft when you look at the. bigger picture. Not that many people could do the work of adding in the inlet pipe themselves. So you have more costs. On top of that, these devices don't generally last more then (if you are lucky) 5 years. Then you'd have the worry about water leaks etc. So nice idea, but not very practical IMO. I like the torch though. :)

Great video and genuine insights. You mentioned the camera system js used only for navigation. Is that what the LiDAR is for? How well does the robot perform if you were to first it to use LiDAR by covering the cameras in the front? I’m coming from a Roborock S7 which uses LiDAR. Thanks!

Hi, great video, SwitchBot suggests using their own cleaning solution but have you found any alternative, after shipping + customs it becomes very expensive.

I'm assuming it doesn't mop the edges though Mark? Since that roller doesn't get up to the edge. Seems. bit of an odd choice.

The **BEST** robot mop I've ever come across was the iRobot Scooba. I REALLY don't know why iRobot stopped making these, then they brought out the ridiculous 'wet wipe' thing to replace it. What utter rubbish!
I also don't understand why none of the other competitors haven't made something similar either.
The rotating pad and wet wipe, calling that 'mopping' is an utter joke.

As for edge-cleaning capabilities of the mopping function. The robot is there to take a mundane job off me, I shouldn't have to go around after it to finish off the job it should have done right in the first place!
