The market is chugging along, all of a sudden it drives to the downside, you hop on the short side thinking it is an aggressive move but then market then reverses. So what are the clues that we look for in this price action to find out whether this is a probable reversal or continuation. The first clue to look for is to say; what has caused this to do this? Is this just chugging along and then all of a sudden we have a sudden down move with no news or has some news came out which has impacted this? How quickly has it happened? We are gathering intel...If its news based you need to pause and evaluate. If its a genuine re-pricing scenario you will get plenty of time to get on the move.

V shaped reversals are my favorite patterns. The problem I have is time. They take hours to form and I miss 95% of them. The 5% makes me bank though. 😇

Thanks for the info. Was actually confronted with a V today. Bought in the the bottom it reversed so Im in profit for the while and now slowly going up/down. Pretty much as you've said. :)

If the red candles start getting smaller and smaller going down towards the support level, this means the move is running out of steam, and will head in the opposite direction, right? Cheers, Rob.
