I've tried a multitude of diets. I would lose weight, then start gaining it back - all while still dieting. I've tried both birth control AND metformin, both of which make me feel terrible since birth control makes me so emotional and metformin makes me sick lol.
But LISTEN - I began keto in April 2019. I spaced my cheat meals 8 weeks apart. And when I say keto changed my life... It really did. I went from 245lb to 165lb. I am 5ft tall so being 245 was NOT good. My cycles are 100% regulated (literally after only 2 months of dieting! Cycles used to be 4 months apart, now they are 30 days apart). It helped with so many things, and I don't see myself ever fully letting keto go. I eat a little more low carb now, but with very keto tendencies.

If you have PCOS and are looking for something new - PLEASE try keto! ♥ It can be confusing, but do your own research, make your own plan, and start!

PCOS. I lost my period for 2-3 years. Went keto not only did I get my period back but it was regulated. Acne cleared. I lost 50 kgs or 110 IBS. I got pregnant first time 4 months, second time 2 weeks. Unfortunately other symptoms haven't gone away like facial hair and thinning hair. Keto is for life not short term it's the only thing that's worked for me.

I am 155cm tall and I have always been 45-53kg. So I'm slim. I have PCOS since 18yo. I'm 25 now. And I'm a medical student in my last year. I couldn't cure PCOS with any pills. I'm trying since I started medical school. In 2021 I found out about keto and I made my research. I started it and I'm on keto for about 3-4 months. It's not easy to stay away from sweet food, pizza and fruits so I cheat sometimes. But in these 4 months I had 4 menstrual cycles. And before keto I had 4 cycles for the whole year. Keto works so far and I'm very happy ☺️! Now I need to do it with less to none cheat days and I believe I will finally have regular cycles and I will do my hormonal tests then and my echo to see what's new in my ovaries and blood ❤️🥰 When I become an endocrinologist I will tell my PCOS patients to try keto!

Thank you :( I always feel like no one cares about PCOS. I’ve struggled since I was 16 and I never felt feminine having it. It’s so so hard. But I’ll try the keto diet

I have PCOS and dont get a period at all because all of my hormones are stuffed up but as soon as i start eating keto again they come back, its like it regulates my hormones. So that's how i know its the right way of eating for me.

Not only pcos! My pituitary tumour made me infertile- couldn’t tolerate the meds so came to terms with it. After a year being Keto, my cycle returned (regularly I might add) and my latest mri shows a massive reduction in size. I wonder how much more my hormones regulate when my pituitary (which is pretty flattened) bounces back fingers crossed :)
I’ve also randomly met quite a lot of people who have become fertile again after eating a keto type diet. It’s incredible and I think it should be talked about more 😃😇

I have PCOS and have been on keto for 1 month and feel like it’s truly helpful. I’m not bloated anymore and more energy when it comes with my workouts.

Had lots of pain on my left side for months, doc found a hemorrhagic cyst on my ovary. Two months after, started drinking water and peeing constantly. Glucose was through the roof. Right then and there I cut out sugar and flour, and drastically reduced my carbs. Within three days the cystic pain was GONE. Glucose levels normal.

I have PCOS and I have recently started my keto diet since 2 weeks ago and I have lost 7 pounds. I would say keto diet isn’t that hard and sometimes I have “dirty” keto too. I used to have really healthy diet and I workout out regularly but it seems to me that keto diet helped me the most

It upsets me when people say woman with pcos have a hard time getting pregnant. That is not the case for everyone it may be a side effect but it isnt set in stone. I have it and have not struggled to conceive both my children.

Also people say that your periods are irregular if you have pcos ive had a regular period since I was 12.
