One thing that I really like about Scott is that he doesn't grab a bunch of photos from people and point out how bad they are, he shows his old mistakes. It says a lot that he's comfortable enough with himself to show us his bad photos and post processing mistakes. Also helps show people that professionals aren't perfect and don't get the perfect image everytime.

Scott mentioned his favorite restaurant in Rome, at a Lightroom workshop I attended, in DC a few years ago. Every serious photographer knows about shooting in the "best" light possible...but when you're traveling, especially when you're with friends & family, there's a thing called REALITY! We can't always wait around until dawn or dusk.

Signal to noise ratio is about 1:5. 24 minutes in and besides a book promo, some ads and product placement and "look who's here!" blather, only a non-post prod tip to not shoot in flat light and the only post production tip is "don't overdo HDR". Next video should be "10 Video Production Mistakes Podcasters Make", or "Mistake Number 11: Wasting Time Watching YouTube Videos".

The one big mistakes Youtubers make: Making advertisement dominate their videos totally so that they more are like shitty private TV shows where you wait through all the commercial BS to catch some minutes of actual content!

Personally I am sick to death of seeing sunrise/sunset light on images. I see the world at so many other times of day and I want images to reflect that.
