Not sure it helps anyone but at 12:40 if you wanted to keep your animation as is without converting to mesh I found moving the simple deform up one or 2 on the modifiers list improves animation smoothness

This is super cool, but easily the biggest thing I learned was that you can type in specific variable names for animation, that's SO COLL! Why has no one else I watched on youtube mentioned that? Where would I find the documentation for what can be entered into those values?
