I *really* like this. I think in the fandom there’s always this debate about Anakin’s redemption - whether or not he deserved it at all, and if he’d lived after Endor would he have deserved the galaxy’s forgiveness or even forbearance from capital consequences. I think this fic shows what I’ve always thought, more than anything I’d ever heard.

It shows a pathway to redemption for Anakin, but it also shows real stakes and consequences. An imperfect redemption that heals but leaves scars, that acknowledges that *some* things don’t come back.

Having walked my own redemption path in life, this fic feels more real than any I’ve seen for Anakin.

This was well done. I like Anakin's cybernetics and how his voice is synthetic but recognizable. I wonder if any of it will be used for What if Luke died and Anakin lived part 2.

Also, let's hope those bounty hunters have a hard time recognizing Anakin with his cybernetics and burn scars.

I like this version of events. I like the idea that Ankin gets an imperfect redemption. It makes sense. It shouldn't be all sunshine and rainbows for him after everything he did, but at the same time, Padme surviving definitely would help him reconnect to the light and redeem himself.

Man, I gotta admit this is my favourite Star Wars What If channel. The amount of time and effort that goes into these videos are crazy.
