Massive props for selling a product with “world’s worst” written right on the box.

This has turned into the best introduction to digital electronics I've ever seen. A great achievement and Ben should be assured that many people really appreciate the huge amount of effort he's put into these videos.

The lengths we have to go to because Nvidia can't stock enough graphics cards.

I mean, after watching this video I feel like the fact that I can just go out and buy a random graphics card and plug it into a random motherboard and expect them to work is pretty amazing.

I’ve been teaching myself EE and programming the past couple years, and am a 15+yr IT professional and current virtualization/SAN architect for the government... and every time I accomplish something big personally, say write a Pong game in a new language or build a virtual 6502 in Minecraft or a new gadget from parts, I look at your videos and still aspire to be anywhere close to your level of badassery one day. You are my hero Ben. Moreso than any other creator on Youtube, and there are some geniuses on this platform. But you’re the cream of the crop, seriously.

"Instead I'm going to do something . . . fairly terrible."

I feel like with every video the inevitable engineering question comes closer.
"But can it run Doom?"

Doing stuff for 25 minutes straight without testing is the single most terrifying and brave thing I've witnessed

Next step would be building world's worst network interface controller and calling it Eaternet

*time slows dramatically and voice slows down as I lunge towards Ben's breadboard*
Ben! Use an opposite phase clock and interleaved memory
*time freezes as Ben connects to RDY with an ominous thunk.*

The fact that you had to make both the computer _and_ video card even worse for them to work together is hilariously fitting.

This counts as part of my engineering degree I guess... I'm great at making excuses not to study

This series has taught me so much more about how digital logic and especially assembly code works more than my years at college. All they taught us at college was how to increment, decrement, read and write to registers and add binary. That's great. But they never taught us why, or how it would be useful, which to me made it difficult to understand. This series makes you appreciate how it works and more importantly, why it works and how to use thise functions! So much more intuitive! Fantastic series!

I'm surprised you didn't mention the clock phase system that most 6502 computer implemented for shared RAM access.
It's the whole reason the CPU's clock pin is labeled PHI2 (ie Phase 2, like the video circuity gets Phase 1).

Love the "some assembly required" on your kit's box LOL

Thanks so much for making these videos! As someone working in this field, I still love watching! Cheers!

18:18 why not leave 14 bits and give a videocard full 16kB range at address 0x4000? You still have plenty of space to relocate I/O range, and, frankly, 8kB for I/O is too lot. Or you can organize a bit more complex address decypher and give a range 0x1000-0x4000 (12kB) for the video, which is surely enough, and does not conflict with your memory map.
