Unless you are an electrician and wirenuts are no longer code.

Another american trying his best to discredit wago, when it's obviously superior... You don't need coper to coper contact if the overall resistance of the metal bridge is the same or lower as the resistance of the copper wire... Also it has a lot of mechanical benefits I won't go into...

I used Wago connectors to add 2 extra LED lights to my finished attic. Overall very low amp draw, they were so much easier to use, and took up less space in the junction boxes. I'm a big fan of them.

Wagos are way better. They've been tested and do not pull apart. Nuts are illegal in the uk

If you come back in 15 years to fault find and you have to pull wire nuts apart to trace?

Wago all the fucking wayy, they are just so pleasant to use

I use wago levers on stranded wires (dimmers and LED lights), everything else gets a wire nut. I agree with you that twisting + nuts makes a better connection.

A “proper joint with a wire nut” will never be superior to wagos anyone who thinks that wire nuts are better are just incorrect and should have any accreditation that they have for the electrical industry removed.

Wagos are no better than the push in terminals on the back of switches and receptacles which I found to be unreliable and never use. I have done commercial and residential wiring for 40 years and don't ever remember having a wire nut joint fail. I would not have Wagos in my house.

I'd always use wago over a twist nut.when it comes to testing and you need to separate cables, finding something twisted together is a pain in the ass.also in the UK, twist nuts really haven't been used for decades.yes you can still buy them, but I don't know of anyone that uses them.

Wago is used 99.9% of the time in Europe.
2 exceptions in Netherlands : operating rooms and buildings/plants with lots of vibration.
That was in the old code (nen1010) might be changed now .

I've come across many bad wirenut jobs. And they are difficult to spot without undoing them. Wago's you barely have ones that are badly done and you can see very clearly if they are not put in deep enough or have copper showing on the other side.
Wago 100% of the time

I agree brother. I've been doing this as long long time. There's nothing wrong with Wagos and they have their place, especially in areas where space is a challenge, or when I have 6 ground conductors that need to be spliced in a 4 or 5 gang box, but a well spliced set of wires with a wire nor should out perform a Wago in almost every situation.

But for almost fool proof splices by novices, the Wago is probably the better choice.

For us professionals, we'll mostly stick with our wirenuts.

I’ve people make this argument I don’t agree. And my cousin is a huge electrical contractor He uses wagos. I use both but I don’t agree with what your saying. Time is changing as well as technology.

An a DIY, I love Wago over wire nuts, I feel like I get a more secure connection unlike with a wire nut.

That said, they are significantly more expensive.

Now, if I hire a licensed electrician and he chooses to use wire nuts, then I won't be one of those people who tries to tell him how to do his job. He'll have way more experience and knowledge than me.

Wago lever connector is best, my opinion. Although they are more expensive.

Except wire nuts are mostly done in 2 much of a hurry, it's way easier to make a mess of a wire nut, plus you won't get a shock off a live Wago and you sure can off a wire nut.

Wagos are still rated for more amps than what the conductors are perfectly safe.

Wirenuts are not better because of the mecanical forces on the copper. :) They might break after 20-30 years. With wagos this wont happen ever

I rather use Wago levers than the outdated twist connectors
