Based on my up-to-date experience with Smiling Friends I 100% expect them to do episode with plotline based on this theory in season 3...

Considering the amount of stuff that happens in the Smiling Friends universe (the good and the bad), I think tax fraud is the least of their problem. Plus, if they are in trouble, glorious President Frog would easily get them out of it

The question is: Are the Smiling Friends legally registered as a charity? If they were supported by the IRS it's impossible for them to lose 2.4B dollars. My "theory" would be that Mr. Boss runs the company as a passion project which can only be sustained by him already being filthy rich and paying his employees out of his own pockets.

There should be an episode where Mr. Boss gets fined and sent to prison for charity fraud, so Pim and Charlie have to go to the IRS and make them smile.

All the episodes that don't involve making someone smile (Who Violently Murdered Simon S. Salty, Charlie Dies and Doesn't Come Back, Charlie, Pim, and Bill vs The Alien, etc) take place while the characters aren't working and just living their crazy little lives. This isn't just a regular sitcom where we restrict itself to the normal formula in every episode, only around half of the episodes follow that formula because they know there's a ton of other things they can do with these characters besides making people smile.
