This Hackintosh cost just €16 / $17 / £14 and runs macOS Ventura perfectly. How does it perform? and what can it do? Fujitsu P420 PC running macOS.

Nice! I didn't realize you can make a Ventura Hackintosh using an "out of support" CPU, and even get the thing to use its iGPU. Another excellent Hackintosh video!! Definitely looking forward to your next upgrade video for this system.

Supplied so many of those Fujitsu desktops., back when they were new. The hardware is rock solid. We had very few failures compared to other well known corporate brands. I have one of the older versions of this pc so am tempted to see if it can also be a respectable Hackintosh.

You make some of the best Hackintosh videos. Appreciate the depth and detail of your work!

I'd love to see you revisit this with a 4th gen i7 and add on graphics to see how it performs.

We must be living in different universes because I have just done an eBay search and not found a single machine matching your specs for less than £50. The only ones cheaper than that are incomplete machines or new listings a few days away from the inevitable bidding battles.

It's a very very good lecture to use the Gen4 Core to install the newest macOS system. Gen4 Core is very easy to be re-built to macOS system with low cost and good experience.

Excellent video & explainer - I’m definitely looking to do this as a backup in case my Intel MBP craps out.

Nice video! also it is better for the environment as you are essentially recycling an older PC and bringing new life to it

Além disso, eu não sabia que você era do Portugal kkkk

Cool to see the Hackintosh scene is still alive and well. It will be a sad day when Apple cuts off support for the x86 version of MacOS and it's Apple silicon only from then on.

I'm really jealous of developped countries when it comes to tech, you basically earn a lot more while used tech is a lot cheaper, in brazil a machine like that is really hard to get for under 200 euros. I really want to make a storage server at home, but i'm havinga really tough time finding decent hardware for heap.

Not so cheap in the US ($160-$500) when you can find them but still FARRR below the cost of any mac. In the US the business market is dominated by Dell computers for the most part. Maybe I'll try one of them.

I'm in The Netherlands, so location/shipment shouldnt be a problem but I have trouble finding Fujitsu systems for those prices.. Just see much old stuff that goes out for too much

Those 10 year old PCs still run fine & if you invest in some cheap upgrades (SSD/CPU/RAM)- they're very capable machines. I put about $35 in a $10 PC I bought off a friend and do just about anything shy of gaming. I go the Linux route, but the concept is very much the same. why spend hundreds of dollars on a machine that does relatively the same things you need it for?

I'd say that Core i3 is more than enough for daily tasks, especially since it has four threads anyway; not that much slower than i5 of that era

And pairing this build with something like RX 460 2gb will make your life much easier (no need for patches, it's natively supported out of the box, and will speed up Metal acceleration massively)

Nice job! Performance seems quite usable and I guess all it needs is say a RX570 or better and it would be fine for a few years.

Which former Windows PC would be good basis for a Hackintosh for Video editing only? I guess a very, very good graphic card is needed and a new SSD and the RAM modules need to be upgraded as much as possible.

Much RAM is always good regardless if Windows, Linux or macOS. With older hardware, RAM upgrades were the best buck for the money.

As for older Apple Hardware, it is almost always possible to upgrade the RAM to much more than Apple specified at the time this hardware was new and sold in the shops.
Ian Page is doing a terrific job with his Mactracker App (for iOS, for Mac (either at the Mac App Store or as a free download at the Mactracker website) to list all available information about every Apple product ever build / sold. And of course you find there how much RAM you can install in your old Mac.
