Flipper Zero Copy Car Key FOB that uses rolling codes.

In this video, I show you how to copy the signal from your key FOB for your car. You get to use this code once. Once used, that same code can be used to spam the signal, denying your FOB access until the signal is stopped.

So you don't use rolling code ! it's called click-bait ...

Would you be able to capture the signal of the key fob communicating with the car multiple times and calculating the key the car uses to create the next code?

*_Don’t use the Read RAW feature with your car key fob!_*
Modern car central locking systems use rolling codes, which means that every time you use your key fob, it generates a unique code. This code is based on a sequence known by the central locking system and is used to unlock a car. If you capture the key fob’s signal and replay it back to your car, *_you risk de-syncing the original key, making it unusable_* .

Meh, if you opened the vehicle or really got the car to do anything with the flipper without cloning pre existing data that would be something. Cloning a remote and jamming are old news.

Beware, some manufactures will have the system drop a key fob off the auth list if it detects that the signal from the key fob has already been used. Re-pairing it may require you to get into the vehicle and re-add the key fob to the list using a valid key in the ignition and preforming a few steps to re-add the fob.

This is why I still practice unlocking my car with the actual key and not the fob, I even manually lock my doors and pull on the handles to ensure the door is closed all the way. Think smarter not harder the old way of life still has its many of perks. Sweet video thanks for the education stay safe everyone!

This is still now working for me even though I am using the correct frequency and modulation, and I am recording the code away from the car, anyone know why?

This is also why we should never belive on the shady ads that says, with this toy you can steal everything lol 😂 It cannot learn more than just the code that will be used next. It might be only goof for really easy things like TV remote etc. This is indeed more useful.

becareful, i heard that on some cars if you do this, the computer will lock you out totally, and then the car will not start untill the computer is reset

Be careful because you may unpair the remote!

Hi, thx for the video. So, what steps should I follow to make these rolling codes continuously executable from the Flipper Zero? I hope the only way isn’t to capture a new signal every time. (:

This is why I wish car manufacturers would shift to a challenge / response based system. The rolling code can be cloned while the car is jammed, and replayed at a later date. But, while C/R can be replayed, as long as there is mutual auth, it can't be used as a viable cloning attack. There is the possibility of a relay attack, but this requires the user to press the button.

Your fob most likely has a rolling code system so the flipper learns the next code the remote will use. That’s why you need to use the fob twice to get it to work again.

I was curious about rolling codes, i didnt want to brake my key fob but this was very informative thank you.

If this goes wrong can I still use my key to open my car and start the motor or does the key stops working too because it has a code?
