I always enjoy your videos. I believe Hanna recommends to calibrate with 7 and 10 for seawater measurements. If they don't, they should as calibrating with 7 and 4 is like calibrating a refractometer with RODI water.

Once calibrated, can the checked be placed in the sump on a prob rack and simply turned on when looking to take a measurement?

Why would you calibrate at 4 and 7 for reef tank use. Will it not calibrate at 10?

Do you have to calibrate it every time before you dip it into the tank?

Just got off the phone with jason @ brs and he says the hi98100 checker will auto calibrate to the solution its introduced to. You can start with 4 then 7, or 7 then 10, or 7 then 4, or 10 then 4, and so on as long as you dont calibrate outside the 4 to 10 range.
Thank you for spending the couple bucks and taking the time to help me out so I didn't have to mess around.

Could 7.9 ph kill a baby clownfish? Its insane that hanna dosnt sell the solution in a bottle that can be closed. They just want you to keep returning and buying single use packages. I almost returned mine, because they said to calibrate b4 each use. I have been using it alot, check ph since my clown died and its staying at the same reading of 7.9 and havn treclaibrated it. is it normal for rodi to be like in the 10's though? Thats what i get when I clean it with rodi and wonder if the cleaning solution is aquarium safe, like if it dries on it? Or is it supposed to stay wet when you put cap back on it. I lost my cap already!!!
