Mini golf is pretty fun too. I personally enjoy a little distraction because I can be a little socially awkward 😅

BilleRae - the "no plans" idea won't work. I promise you. If you go on a first date and say, "Let's just wander around", there won't be a second date.

I have a labrador, which is perfect. First date always picking her up and going for a walk with the dog. It’s the least awkward and cheapest thing and women usually find a man with a dog attractive because it shows responsibility for another being.

First and foremost it doesn't cost a dime to get to know someone. Money shouldn't even be in the equation on the first date. Two people should be wanting to invest their time into the (Person) not the (Material Value) of the person. I'll take a walk in the park and if we get hungry or thirsty buy your own because that's a way to show your can be responsible adults also when it comes to the first (Meal Date) like breakfast, lunch or dinner. You should pay your own and that shows you can be a potential contributing partner. Too many grown women out here looking for a father like boyfriend / husband to give them the (Princess Treatment)

My go to first date is the gun range. I'm not a gun nut but most women have never fired a gun so you get points for creativity and taking her out of her comfort zone to do something a little daring she likely has never done before.

imagine pulling up in a Vespa, and the person lives way out of town in the middle of winter

The first thing I say on a first day if we go to a restaurant is " I hear their salads are awesome." Saves $$$

We appreciate the tips, but living in Los Angeles all three of these are an absolute no-go 😂 I dated very aggressively last year after being in an eight and a half year relationship, and what I found after entering and familiarizing myself in this modern dating scene in LA is that women not only expect something planned(certainly in the evening/night) but that it is also definitely NOT cheap.

Lunch time day date such a great idea. It keeps everything short, light, breezy, fun, takes all the heavy pressure off both sides. It's a great idea for a first date.

The idea of not having a plan for a date is a terrible idea. Also don't pick her up on a scooter she will think you are gay. I guess which means you are if you own a scooter.

I am so glad I came of age in the 80’s. Yea the clothing was a little weird, but people still talked to one another face to face.

Here's 3 ideas
1. Take her to do something you like to do. Examples
Sports, hike, board game cafe, etc. it shows how well rounded you are and it's easy to be engaging because you're in your element.

2. Picnic: its simple and sweet you can even ask her to bring a snack. If it's a nice day the you can go for a walk.

3. Shopping. Not necessarily for you or her but let's say you have to buy something for your house or a gift for a friend. Its a nice outing and asking for opinions keep the conversation going.

I legit did this a lot when I was dating, specifically with not having any particular plan, cuz we would literally just enjoy each other and do whatever felt fun at the moment, rather than strictly planning something out and feeling restricted to commit to that one thing
