Q: Does this video apply to my issues?
A: This video is for computers with no signs of life that appear 'dead'. It will also help if you see minimal signs of life such as lights only or some hard drive / fan sounds but they stop right a way. If you are able to see anything on the screen at any point or if the hard drive / fan sound remain on, your issue could be something else. Leave me a message with your exact symptoms and I can direct you to the correct video :)

Q: I have tried all the steps seen here without identifying the issue :(

Q: The computer will only turn on when the charger is plugged in.
A: If your computer will only turn on when the charger is plugged in after all these steps, then I would next try to replace the battery as its most likely bad. Let me know if you would like assistance finding a compatible battery replacement :)

Mine has an internal battery so I just held the power button down as was shown then plugged it back up and clicked on the power button and it works. Thank You!

Hey, thanks. It worked for my acer notebook. It was so simple. I removed the battery, pressed power button for a minute, put the battery back, charger plugged it in, it started! Wallah ! Last night when I woke up.reached for my water bottle, it toppled and water spiller onto my laptop.in the dark. I immediately wiped it clean, kept it for drying under the fan. Comevearly morning, I started the laptop, it turned on as normal, I switched off. I went back to sleep. An hour later, it wasn't powering on . I looked up this video and followed the simple instruction, it started! So happy!

That first step totally worked. Hold the power button down for 1 minute. All I did was leave the laptop in the back of my car for a couple of hours.

F2 on start-up worked. went into BIOS and enabled boot drive. A local computer repair place was going to charge me $135 for diagnostics, and then wipe the drive of all my files. it literally took me 2 minutes to fix. THANK YOU!!! Acer Nitro.

Gave a like, although didn't fix the issue, I was at least able to turn the laptop on by disconnecting the battery and plugging in the charger. The laptop is over 3 years old, so just using it till I get a new one.
