Unironically, everytime I watched this episode as a kid, I always hoped that Patrick would share the Krabby Patty toy and after the end of the episode, I'm pretty sure I genuinely wanted to kill Patrick

the saddest part of this is that sharing food with your friend is a completely normal thing to do. The episode paints it like it's some kind of slippery slope, but irl you do this all the time (usually with the promise that they'll pay you back at some point, even if they never do).

I really hate this episode looking back because literally my own mom did shit like this, she'd take my money to get stuff for herself and whenever she did get anything for me, it was just practically useless stuff like tiny squishies. She'd even take my own stuff to sell so she'd get money for herself and when i or any of my other family members called her out she called me selfish.

The episode felt too real personally and just generally fumbles the whole sharing message too much, hell it doesn't even have the message of sharing it's more like a message of "if someone takes advantage of your kindness just let them because they're your friend." Which is literally the kind of message that you DON'T wanna be teaching to anyone let alone kids.
