it's almost a necessary truth that George and John always wear the same cloth.

But why can you not think of a possible world that says 2+2=4? A world where logic is different, or one where it has no meaning etc.?

Wouldn't all bachelors are unmarried be a contingent truth in that the word "bachelor" could have been a word that meant something else? Isn't the truth contingent on the language itself?

i disagree with the notion of a contingent being: if the cup could not exist, it would necessarily mean that the causes of the cup would also not exist, and the causes lf those causes too, and so on. this would continue until uncaused causes are reached. then, it can be argued, as Ibn-Sina did, that there cannot be multiple uncaused causes. so the ultimate cause of the cup is only one, and if this cup doesn't exist, this one uncaused causes also doesn't exist.

basically, the cup has to exist or the universe cannot exist.

In others words, truths are contingent assuming things could have been otherwise. If nothing could be otherwise then there are no contingent truths. Maybe there can be many logical hypotheticals but only one metaphysical way things must be

I have a numeral system that uses the decimal base but digits are as follows; 0, 1, 3, 5, 2, 4, 9, 6, 8, 7. A comparison to roman numeral; (1-I) (3-II) (5-III) (2-IV) (4-V) etc.
So in some possible world 2+2= 8, and 3+3=4. So in reality everything that is perceived as necessary is actually contingent on a human definition

The Word of Truth is ever faithful (loyal, true, isomorphic) to Reality (That which is).

That which is nothing in particular (actual), is by definition everything in general (potential).

The Absolute, being all-inclusive is the All in One in All. Therefore, we are all It, to an unknowable/inexhaustible extent, as the facets of a Diamond are 'both' distinct from each other 'and' the Diamond itself.

Love is the recognition of our shared Being.

The Light of Wisdom and Understanding dispels the darkness of ignorance and folly.

God = Creative Intelligence.

The concept of a deity actually existing is from the thinking of mankind. That’s why for any deity to exist independently of man’s words describing its existence requires one’s confidence in the proposed idea that the idea of the deity is a depiction of a being existing independently of man’s thoughts.

The truth is singular it can only exist this way per reference frame. The height of jane is 6ft in this R.F . Necessarily so because 6ft is not 5ft11" or 6ft1". If there is a world where jane can be 5ft its not in this R.F .

It seems that logic deals with consistency.

Contingent Truth is truth with respect to time.

Whereas Necessary truth is timeless.

Do time, space, and matter exist contingently? It's seemingly impossible to imagine a possible world without these properties, as our minds are restricted to such properties. However, there is a thought that they exist contingently because they are all dependent on each other for their existence.
