We had the best 2-ish Days in Tallinn! We explored the beautiful city of Tallinn, our 4th country on our year of travel after leaving Helsinki, Finland. We start with a scenic ferry ride from Helsinki to Tallinn before diving into the wonders of Tallinn's Old Town. Highlights include breathtaking views from the Kohtuotsa Viewing Platform, historic landmarks like Toompea Castle and St. Olaf’s Church, and iconic spots such as Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Along the way, we take a deeper look into Tallinn’s culture at the Kiek in de Kök Museum, enjoy local treats at Maiasmokk Cafe, and explore modern art at Fotografiska Tallinn. The Tallinn Card was a game changer, giving us access to multiple attractions, and we also savored a traditional Estonian lunch. While most visitors only spend a short time exploring Tallinn’s Old Town, we’re venturing beyond its medieval walls to discover the unique charm of the surrounding areas.

Did you know Tallinn had this much to offer? We probably just scratched the surface. What would you do in this city?

It's so refreshing to see people venture out of Old Town (it's gorgeous, but also there is much more to Tallinn) 🥰

I'm just a bit sad that you guys skippes Japanese Garden in Kadriorg park, it's probably the best part

Tallinn is more north than Stockholm and Estonia is more north than whole Denmark (without Greenland).

The cold war is over since 34 years.

And lets try once again - it is not eastern-Europe! It is both more middle and more north, then east.

I love summer white nights in Estonia. It's amazing. I love medieval architecture. Disappointed quite a bit that it looks now like Helsinki though. Nature is amazing. They began embracing natural look- everywhere wild grasses and flowers . But it comes with a price. While they have beautiful meadows, inviting you to run wild through it-dont! Ticks are Estonian nemezis. ( As i found out Danmark also has same problem, so logical to assume a whole Scandinavia has that problem). Unless you get special tick safe clothing made out of thick netting . My son got bitten the first week we been there, what coused lots of nerves.
Just FUI. Government business places despise russian speakers. And it was long before war in Ukraine. So, it is better to do official business using English language . Same problem with customer service in most places. Lot of people openly agressive. Of couse there are exclusions. Sometimes you meet really nice people .My discovery was that new generation dont even know English enough to provide quality service. And Tallinn economy depending on tourism heavily. When before i loved and longed for my place if birth and childhood, now it became just a destination to have short friends visit. No more. If you dont have that kind of friends - it is just 1 time visit place. There are so much more beautiful and interesting places on Earth to visit ..with much friendlier people .

Is Brandon Puerto Rican, Indian or Bolivian?

My favorite city, other than St.
Petersburg, Russia. Too bad Estonia is taxing residents so insanely, this may result in Russia taking it back. Don't let this happen.
