Try walking through the cemetery that's on a hill overlooking the old part of the city where the boats dock. I was very impressed with Estonia. Latvia and Lithuania were also nice. just wish I had explored more. enjoy.

Do not say that, you have not viseted the "Tallinn Old Town christmas market" there yet, it's the most famous christmas market in the world (many awards and won worlds top 1 "christmas market" several times).
A fun fact, first ever cristmas tree vith decorations was in Tallinn Old Town in 1441 (Back then Tallinn's name was Reval).
Fun fact: In Estonian Language Pere means Family.

I would suggest to use Wizzair direct flights 1.45 h from Kiev to Tallinn. Wizz departs from the airport that situates inside City of Kiev, short and cheap taxi drive instead of going to Borispol airport 40 km away from the city. Wizzair is also budget airline (sometimes 20 EUR tickets from Kiev to Tallinn), AirBaltic they used is so-so.

I would definitely stay a while in beautiful Riga-also a city from the UNESCO World Heritage list and then would go to Tallinn by bus from Riga. Buses are very comfortable and cheap, equipped with WF and it takes some 4 h to drive.

Rothenburg`s (Germany) old town in 90% medieval, Tallinn`s old town is about 20%. There are a lot of quasy-medieval houses from late 19th century. Toompea parliament house is from 1920s and the church close to it, the Nevski cathedral is from 1900.

Most of restaurants in Old Town are a rip off. Research is a must. :)
