Oven Dried Tomatoes

Oven dried tomatoes are easy to make and add so much flavor to your recipes. I use them in pasta, in sandwich spreads, on pizza and I love to eat them all by themselves.

Recipe
3 pounds Roma Tomatoes (cored and sliced evenly (about 1/4 inch thick))
Mix together the following and sprinkle over the tomatoes and mix them around.
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Lay the tomatoes in a single layer on a sheet pan lined with a silpat or parchment paper
Bake at 350°F for first 30 minutes then, 275°F for 2 to 2 1/2 hours until the desired texture is achieved.

The recipe I didn’t see at the end. I couldn’t locate in the description as well. They look lovely. My Roma tomatoes are coming in soon and I want to possibly use your recipe. Thanks!

That whistling/music is totally not needed and very obnoxious.
