I'll be eligible in 2024 but, I'm beginning to investigate my options now. I've watched several videos and read plenty but, I have a unique situation it seems. I'm a State of NJ retiree. They offer MA Plans as well as Medigap plans through the State. First question: Is there any advantage (no pun intended) to me going with their MA or Medigap plan or, will I find as good a price on my own? Second, they tell me exactly what the Medigap Plans are called and who's plans they are (Horizon and NJDirect) but, I don't see where they say whether they are G, N or other plans.
Last, if I'm reading the charts correctly, it looks like @ $400 a month for a Medigap plan. That seems high to me. I have decided I want to go with a Medigap plan because of the managed care and high MOOP associated with the MA plans. Thanks
