Isabela Merced/Kay EASILY cemented her spot on worst character fates ever in a horror movie 💯 girl didn't even catch a break... literally like all her scenes are just pure nightmare and suffering 😭💔

I think the injection doesn't make you spawn a xenomorph. The reason she did is because she was already pregnant, so the fetus just mutated into engineer/human hybrid.

It’s so nice to get a modern 21st century Alien movie that’s reminiscent of the first two films.

You know, Covenant made me feel done with the Alien saga, but this movie actually made me remember why I fell in love with the saga. I watched the original after I returned from watching this one.

Movie was solid. Even the fact why the cast is all young makes sense. Great movie.

And the hybrid thing is just something new to shock the audience. They will never proceed with that. The xenomorph is the focus. That hybrid was falling apart and definitely got chewed up by the ice ring.

But what happened to the canister??

Don't listen to the distractors, the film was solid I give it a 8 out of 10. We finally got a good trilogy

I thought I was the only one who loved Prometheus

The hybrid isn't coming back - its dead. It fell into the asteroid belt at high velocity and got destroyed.

What the latest installment has done, something missing in the previous sequels, is it brings back the raw sense of dread and hopelessness being in deep space having to survive a deadly terrifying creature.

Human/Xenomorph combination did happen in Alien Resurrection which had the same fate as the one in the end of the movie. A homage to the franchise among other scenes in the movie

I watched the film twice today haha. I really like it and enjoyed it. But I still can’t wrap my head around the last 15-20 minutes. Someone mentioned that the creature looked like the Orphan of Kos from Bloodborne😂. In general, the film went from Alien to Aliens too fast and I wished it stayed more to Alien. I’d still watch it again.

Am I the only one who immediately thought of Alien Resurrection in the third act? The creature was kinda similar looking.

For a second there, I thought Kay was going to egg-morph in her pod at the end. It almost looked like the alien stung her in the movie, which could have set it up perfectly for her to turn into an egg and be transported to a new planet to cause mayhem. Could have been a stellar sequel idea!! Overall the movie was great and I give it a solid 9/10

This was definitely a solid entry in the Alien Universe. This was very fun to watch and the Copious amounts of references for Alien Isolation was Awesome!

I’m not complaining, but I thought the aliens grew faster in this movie than the original three…
Maybe I’m wrong

I'm with you on Prometheus because it expands the possibility of the Alien universe. Pure alien violence isn't mentally stimulating enough for me to stay engaged movie after movie. The only reason I watched Prometheus was because I didn't know it was an Alien movie. Enjoyed it so much that I watched the sequel.

I was a quite disappointed as I began to realize Romulus wasn't a 3rd installment in a Prometheus trilogy, but Andy and Rain's performances were compelling enough for me to enjoy it overall. I also appreciated that there wasn't excessive mindless gore.

Just got out of an IMAX showing of it about 40 mins ago. EASILY the best alien movie since 1986, and a love letter to the franchise. Every movie in the series had some sort of representation or callback, big or small or even subtle, and with most of it feeling organic instead of just fan service.
Not saying it is perfect, and no I don't think it is better than the original two, BUT I will say, it EASILY tops every film that came after Aliens.
If you wanted a return to form in the series, like what most of us had been hoping for since alien 3 came out, this is it. If you wanted something to course correct or finish the David saga, this is not it. If you wanted something that maybe bridges that gap slightly instead of a complete retcon, this is it. While it is nestled between Alien and Aliens, this is the closest we have ever gotten to the Alien 3 we deserved for so long
