I have tried all these steps several times and get the same error code. Even tried a new hard drive. Formatted it in fat32 and installed the 11.0 update and i still get this error code. Both my controller ports are working perfect. Got this error code last year on my destiny PS4 and had to replace the wifi chip to fix it. On the destiny i had no controller sync except in safe mode. Sony is no help they just tell me to mail it into them for a fee. I shouldnt have to pay them when their update bricked my system.

Guys just enter rest mode and let the update download. It worked for me that way

If i try to rebuild my database i get a black screen after the ps logo. Is that normale or am i doing something wrong

I keep having a error after I went into safe mode saying an error has occurred (su-42118-6) won't let me play anything unless the 10.71 update is done

What do you do if your controllers aren’t connecting to the ps4 whilst being plugged in? I’ve tried two of my own controllers and one of my roommates controls. SOS it’s my day off

This does work. It worked for me first try. Thanks by the way. To everyone saying it doesn't work, after You go into safe mode and rebuild the data base, make sure You shut off Your PS4 and go back into safe mode. Then from there download the update. It should work fine.

This is a massive PS4 bug, my nephews PS4 won't even allow him to Rebuild Database & my PS4 almost had this bug but it fixed itself.

I tried installing the update manually with an Extended USB Hard Drive but it won't even recognize the update file via USB🤬 like wtf Playstation!!!

Well on my pro the update goes thru but next norning i turn in i get blue light of death then i get forced to hard shut it down then it throws me into safe mode then puts me in a loop to update 10.71 which i already did but still wont start my ps4 pro keep in mind my ps4 is clean and was working like days before this update
