I'm glad the author of the first story understands that when a parent works and then comes home, having a home full of teens is a bit much - we just want to wind down and relax for awhile. My daughter would do that. I'd come home from a double shift and there are 8 teens in a two bedroom apartment – ARGH!!!😩😂

When i was 16. I worked at Wendy's. After we'd close the dining room for the night at 10pm. We'd usually be really slow. By midnight or so. All the cleanup was done. So there'd be a lot of standing around until we fully closed at 2:00am. One night, we had 3 people in the store. It was myself, a female coworker, who i became really close friends with, and our manager. It was a little after midnight. My friend and I are just sitting by the drive-thru window talking. We got all over stuff done. The manager is in the back office, counting up the money drawers. At some point my friend goes to the bathroom. Maybe 5 minutes later i hear her screaming. I run out into the dining room towards the bathroom. I see this guy holding her by the wrists, trying to get her to be quiet. Hes covered in blood on his face and shirt. The only thing i can think to do is grab a chair and yell at him to let her go, or im gonna hit him with it. He does and she stumbles over to me. I tell her to run to the back and tell the manager, but she's frozen and just clinging on the back of my shirt. The guy keeps telling us to relax and calm down. He says he used to work at this store and doesnt want trouble. He says a certain manager is his friend, and she'd be cool about it. She didnt work there anymore at the time. I keep telling him to just leave and we wont call the police. He keeps on begging to let him hide there for a while longer. He claims he was attacked and nearly killed. It was near the store so he ran there for help. Someone had forgotten to lock one of the dining room doors. So he just walked in. He asks for some towels to clean himself up, then he'd leave. Im finally able to get her to calm down and go to the back. She comes back with the manager already on the phone with 911. They throw some towels onto the counter and tell him to leave. He grabs them and wipes himself down and starts moving like hes gonna go back behind the counter. I move in between him and the door, raise the chair back up and tell him to plz just leave. Finally he limps out of the store. I lock the door and my manager is screaming at me to get to the back behind the counter. Not even a minute after he leaves. We see cop car after cop car fly by the store. A couple of them pull in and start banging on the doors. All 3 of us quickly rush to the door and let them in as we walked out. The police cleared the store. Not longer after, they told us he was caught. They said the guy had go into a fight with people. He ended up pulling out a gun and shooting one person. Police pulled up during all this. They chased him as he tried to drive away. He ended up crashing his car and running on foot. They were canvassing the area when they got that 911 call. Police had actually found the gun in the bushes behind the store. All 3 of us were pretty shaken up over this. Especially my friend. She refused to work anymore closing shifts unless I was also working it. The manager ended up moving to a different store to be a daytime only manager.
