I want to thank you so much for the amount of detail provided in this video. I am a ED nurse and had an idea of what is done in the PACU but i love how you went over the medications used, what to expect, and interventions done . I love this video!!

Thank you so much. I did a showing shift as a new grad and liked it. I saw lots of floor nurses transitioning there. I knew from the get go I didn’t wanted to be a floor nurse and have crazy patient ratio ect.... I finally found my niche!

That was extremely helpful, you did such a good job of helping us visualize what really happens. What does your documentation consist of/ how long does it take you? Would love if you did a video like this for the ICU too. Thanks for the great content! 🙏🏾

Thanks for the video! This definitely gives me a better idea. The PACU sounds pretty relaxed though.

sweet deal is an understatement, I just got a NA job in the PACU for really nursing school, I do nothing in the PACU but transfer pts and occasionally do a temp check.

Hi Michele! Thank you for your videos. I have learned a lot more about PACU. I am a travel ICU nurse and I want to try PACU. Do you have any suggestions on how to prepare for interview or what to touch up on for the interview? Thank you!

thank you for this video. I just came across this video and its very helpful. I currently work in a post-op/ medsurg unit with lots of step down/ neuro / ent patients. I love the work but the ratio is terrible for a more acuity level. Been researching PACU and this was extremely helpful :D thank you

Hi, thanks for the information just a few question. How available are doctors at PACU if you need orders? I work in the emergency department and want to transition to PACU. What do you think? I feel like PACU will be less stressful (I love the ED) but if PACU is like the regular floor where you have to call the doctors for hours then I won't do it.
