I love seeing the emotion on the faces after winning. You can see that they go through some hard training to take down others on this level

Everyone looks so much cooler moving in slow motion. I’m going to start moving slow like that.

I trained judo for almost a decade and switched that into mma, it gives so good base into mma. I gotta say, judo is one of the most awesome sport out there!

The Uchi Mata by Ute Abe is pure perfection. Belongs in a museum.

I know nothing about Judo, looks like a bunch of moving for position, but then someone decides to pull the trigger on a throw and BAM!!, it looks like poetry

Very good video I trained this beautiful art in my country for 21 years until I have to put it a side to feed my family, I wish I have enough time to comeback and keep training, this sport was what all my life was about, thank you for your channel you just have 1 more subscriber.

4:00 was really very impressive!!!
She lowered her center of mass of her body to avoid being tossed by opponent’s Uchi Mata move, then quickly counter attack using Harai Maki Komi, by crossing her legs to lock to opponent’s legs, then uses her body weight to drag her opponent down to the ground…in split seconds!!!

I learned Judo on an army base some years ago. For almost three weeks, I had to devote ALL my time just on learning all the ways to fall and roll out from a throw. It seemed so boring and useless, especially while watching the others on the other end of the mat having fun doing the throws, etc.
Over many years and experiences, you come to realize just how important those first few weeks are.
Years later, I learned to snow ski. My first instructor taught most of the basics well, except how to stop. So my first time up the mountain, I took off like a jet, and what he had taught me about how to stop was not working. I just kept gaining more speed. Getting close to a cluster of trees, I knew I had to stop. So, I knew I had to fall. My judo knowledge kept me very safe in that fall. Fortunately, my next ski instructor did teach me how to stop. :-)

Abe’s uchimata was a thing of beauty. So clean and fast, stayed on her feet. Best throw of the lot for my money.

I love the music to this video. I never really looked at judo that much. This video shows how beautiful it really is. A very true and pure martial art.
