Excellent advice there on that technique. Less chance of uke falling on top of you

I absolutely love judo. As a BJJ blue belt who prefers takedowns, this is great to learn.

All of my bike instructors do judo also, they taught us this throw. First thing in class after warmups is takedowns. That what I really appreciate about my studio.

Kazushi is strong too so Uke can’t float hips to either side or parry the fulcrum foot. I think BJJ folks need to hear how kazushi breaks balance and has direction. Put the PULL in pulling guard.

I’m a white belt and i hit a sick Tomoe Nage on a blue belt and surprised the coach, 10/10.

Typically my bjj guard pull is with the grips on the arm are the same side as the connecting leg to prevent some guard pull defences. Does this change the ability to rotate the opponants back towards the floor and is there a trick to deal with that?

What are some additional martial arts that compliments judo aside from jujitsu? I want some disciplines that focus on throws, sweeps and self defenses from punches and kicks.
I always thought fights would flow from taekwondo or shotokan - aikido - judo/wrestling - and end in jujitsu if it doesn’t end standing up.

question please...is it better to post the right leg or left because I know in Bjj they can pick the leg coming up on the hips...I suppose the kuzushi will make it hard to pull catch leg if also excited quickly so should we go with the other leg on the side I am holding the sleeve of my opponent? thx
