I have a question, is intels crashing and also high voltage problem only related to desktop CPUs or also laptop for example, I9 13980hx, 13950hx and 14900hx?

I would not buy this now; instead, I would wait for Intel and AMD. By then, say October, you will have a 2024 chip comparison (also M4) and be able to judge the merits of the X Elite. At that time, we will see the rate of compatibility improvements and prices seem almost certain to fall. No one will pay £1600 for this in a few months; I suspect secondhand under £1000.

If you have to have it now, this is primarily for casual and office use. It may be viable for some semi-pro work, but not for professionals per se, and never for serious gamers. It is not a revolution but more catch-up, which is fine. But if you expect miracle battery life, be aware of the hype; it is good but not ground-breaking for multitasking mixed workloads. I tested the Surface Pro and got about 6-8 hours of mixed-use. Mark's Tech gets 4-5 hours of SOT doing work on his review of the Galaxy Book4Edge. The only great battery life is if you stream media 24/7, and that depends on brightness; for example, HDR on Netflix will only get around 8-10 hours of SOT on these X Elite machines.
